In his latest briefing, Dr. Anil Vaidian, Commissioner of the Dutchess County Department of Behavioral & Community Health, discusses:
- Dutchess County’s recent COVID-19 vaccine Point of Dispensing (POD) at the former JCPenney site at the Poughkeepsie Galleria;
- how the lack of vaccine being distributed to Dutchess County has limited the number of appointments available at the County-run PODs;
- the importance of signing up for Dutchess Delivery to receive email alerts when appointments become available; and
- the need for residents to be patient during this months-long process to vaccinate the more than 70,000 Dutchess County residents who are currently eligible under New York State’s Phase 1a and 1b priority groups.
