Obituary, Liza Cabrera

Liza Cabrera, 35, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021, surrounded by her loving family at her parent’s home in Pawling, NY.

Born in Carmel, NY on March 7, 1985, she was the daughter of Ivan and Elvira Cabrera.  She made her home in Arlington, VA where she was a project manager at CollabraLink Technologies, a digital services consulting team that delivers solutions to help Federal customers achieve their mission, located in McLean, VA.

She loved cooking, traveling, working, and spending time with friends and family, and especially loved playing with her nieces and nephews, who loved their Tia Wa very much; she also loved reading which she has been doing since she was a little girl.

Liza had the biggest heart and was never afraid to be herself.  She had an infectious laugh, an iron will, and a sharp eye for grammatical errors.  She will be greatly missed by the entire Cabrera Clan and all who were lucky enough to know and love her.

In addition to her parents Ivan and Elvira, she is survived by her brother Ivan Cabrera and wife Erica, and niece and nephew Olivia and Andrew of New Milford, CT; sister Paola Runlett and husband Jared, and nephew and nieces Luke, Eliana & Madeline of Ashburn, VA; sister Pam Washburn and husband Edward, and nephew and niece Charlie and Sadie of New Bedford, MA; brother Nick Cabrera of Brooklyn, NY; sister Monica Cabrera of Quincy, MA; and her best friend, Amanda Commerford of Nashville, TN.

There are no services at this time.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY.
