UPDATE: State Police are Investigating the Discovery of Human Remains

UPDATED INFORMATION: An autopsy of the remains was conducted on Monday, April 20. Through dental records obtained from the NYPD Bronx Homicide Squad, preliminary results indicate the remains are Ramona Moore who has been missing from Bronx, NY since July 30, 2012. The New York State Police will continue to assist the Bronx Homicide Squad. Any questions regarding the Ramona Moore case should be directed to their unit.
State Police in conjunction with the Blooming Grove Police Department and the Orange County Medical Examiner are investigating the discovery of human remains in the vicinity of State Route 208 and Captain Carpenter Road. The remains were discovered at approximately 10 a.m. by workers cutting trees. Anyone with information are asked to contact the State Police Burea of Criminal Investigation at the Monroe barracks at 845-782-8311.
