Lewisboro, New York – On December 3, 2020, the New York State Police from Somers arrested Andy Casiano, age 32, of Brooklyn, NY, for Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd degree, a class A misdemeanor, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd degree, Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving, all unclassified misdemeanors, and various vehicle and traffic law violations.

At approximately 2:50 p.m., Troopers on Interstate 684 attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 2020 Volkswagen for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law on Interstate 684.  The operator failed to comply and fled southbound getting off onto the Saw Mill River Parkway.  State Police patrols however, terminated the pursuit due to the reckless operation of the suspect.

Approximately two miles further south Troopers were alerted to a motor vehicle crash.  Once at the scene of the crash the vehicle was determined to be the suspect vehicle from the pursuit.  The vehicle was unoccupied however, as operator had already fled on foot.  Troopers began searching the area for the suspect, later identified as Andy Casiano, who was located nearby and taken into custody without further incident.

Casiano was issued an Appearance Ticket returnable to the town of Lewisboro Court on December 24, 2020, at 8:30 a.m.
