Ann L. Lown-Ryan, 76, a longtime resident of Dover Plains, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Born March 4, 1944 in Poughkeepsie, NY, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Mabel (VanDeBogart) Lown. Ann graduated high school from Roeliff Jansen Central School in Hillsdale, NY and from Krissler Business Institute in Poughkeepsie, NY with a Medical Office Specialist Certification. She married the late Robert L. Ryan, Sr. in Amenia, NY. She and Bob enjoyed camping, she was an avid reader and had a tremendous love of all animals. In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her sister, Janet M. Lown.
Mrs. Lown-Ryan is survived by her son Joseph AuClaire III of Dover Plains, NY; her daughter Wendy Belas (Edward) of Altoona, Florida; her sister, Nancy Lown-Keane (Patrick) of Mayfield, NY; her niece, Rachel VanTassell of Ocala, Florida and many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss her dearly.
