Drug arrest in Philmont

Philmont, New York – On September 8, 2020, the New York State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested Monica S. Haywood, age 40, of Philmont, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th degree, a class C felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, a class A misdemeanor.

At approximately 3:45 p.m. Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 2018 Honda Civic on Eagle Street in the village of Philmont for violations of the vehicle and traffic law.  An investigation determined the operator, Monica Haywood, was in possession of one deck of heroin and approximately 4.9 grams of crack-cocaine.

Haywood was arraigned before the village of Philmont Court, and released on her own recognizance.  She is next scheduled to appear before the court on September 24, 2020, at 6:00 p.m.
