Obituary, Kathleen M. “Kay” Farrell

Kathleen M. “Kay” Farrell, a Poughquag resident since 1998 and formerly of White Plains, passed away at home on Sunday, August 9, 2020. She was 91.
Daughter of the late Robert and Rose (Hauck) Farrell, she was born in Queens on February 1, 1929. Kay worked for many years as Executive Assistant to the Chairman & C.E.O. of American Can Company in Greenwich, CT. She retired in 1987. She was a parishioner of St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction.
She is survived by a loving extended family who include her niece Debbie Ray along with her daughters and their families; her lifelong friend Patricia LaColla along with her six children and their families; and many other loving relatives & friends.
Kay was predeceased by her parents as well as her brother, Walter Farrell and his wife Anna.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 12 at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
