Elizabeth Blejwas of Poughquag, Hope Andrews of Pleasant Valley  named to Alvernia University spring 2020 Dean’s List

READING, PA (08/10/2020)– The following local college students were among the over 850 students who were named to Alvernia University’s Dean’s List for the spring 2020 semester.

Hope Andrews of Pleasant Valley, NY  is studying PreK4 w/SpEd at Alvernia University.

Elizabeth Blejwas of Poughquag, NY  is studying Occupational Therapy at Alvernia University.

Despite the disruption of the semester by the COVID-19 pandemic and the university’s quick transition to an online learning format, over 150 more students earned the distinction from the fall semester.

“Our students and faculty showed incredible resilience during the spring 2020 semester and these results showcase that,” said Alvernia University President John R. Loyack. “The faculty’s quick transition to the virtual learning environment and the students’ ability to adapt to the changing instruction conditions is truly admirable and provides us with incredible faith as we prepare for the fall 2020 semester.”

To be eligible for the Dean’s List, students must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and take a minimum of 12 credits.
