tate Police charge a Cairo man with Attempted Murder 2nd degree

PRESS RELEASE

On July 23, 2020 at approximately 4:30 p.m. troopers responded to Grove Street in the town of Cairo for a report of a stabbing. When troopers arrived at the scene an officer from the Town of Cairo Police Department had a male subject in custody, later identified as Ebral Woullard, age 25 of Cairo. Investigation revealed that Woullard stabbed Luis Francisco Paqui Guaman, age 25 of Middletown, NY. Cairo ambulance and Greene County Paramedic arrived on scene and transported the victim to Columbia Memorial Hospital where he was treated for a stab wound to his upper shoulder/neck area. Guaman was treated and released.

Ebral Woullard was charged with Attempted Murder 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree, both felonies and Resisting Arrest, a misdemeanor. He was arraigned by Judge Lee Miller in Town of Cairo Court and remanded to Greene County Jail on no bail.
