Port Jervis man arrested for Criminal Contempt

On 04/17/15 the Orange County Child Abuse Unit. which is comprised of members from the New York State Police, Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Town of Warwick Police and Village of Goshen Police, arrested a 53 year old City of Port Jervis man for the Class A Misdemeanor Charge of Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree.

State Police arrested and charged HABIB REHMAN, 53 years old of Port Jervis, N.Y. following an investigation into a report made to the New York State Child Abuse Hotline in January 2015. The investigation was conducted in conjunction with the Orange County Department of Social Services – Child Protective Services. REHMAN did violate a “Stay Away, No Contact” Order of Protection, issued by Orange County Family Court directing him to stay away from 3 children, all under the age of 17.

REHMAN was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Village of Montgomery Court on Wednesday May 20, 2015 at 9:30A.
