Curry College Inducts Pines Plain Resident into Pi Lambda Theta Honor Society

 

MILTON , MA (06/15/2020)– Curry College is proud to announce that Ky Nicype-Meryman, of Pines Plain, has been inducted into Pi Lambda Theta (PLT), one of the nation’s most prestigious education honor societies.

Founded in 1910, Pi Lambda Theta has a mission to honor outstanding educators and inspire their leadership on critical education issues. The most selective society of its kind, PLT extends membership to students and professionals who satisfy academic eligibility requirements and have demonstrated characteristics of scholarship, leadership, and service.

In order to qualify for Pi Lambda Theta at Curry College, a student must be an Education major who has earned at least 60 credits with a minimum 3.5 GPA. Inducted students have exceeded the stringent criteria set by the honors society and demonstrate promise in the field of education.

Founded in 1879, Curry College is a private, four-year, liberal arts-based institution located on 131 acres in Milton, Mass. Curry extends its educational programs to a continuing education branch campus in Plymouth, Mass. Curry offers 28 undergraduate majors, as well as graduate degrees in business, accounting, education, criminal justice, and nursing, with a combined enrollment of over 3,700 students. The student body consists of approximately 2,000 traditional undergraduate students, and 1,700 continuing education and graduate students.
