Michael F. Clowry, Jr.
May 19, 1944 – May 20, 2020
Born to the world in Yonkers, N.Y. to Michael Francis Clowry and Marjorie Clowry, he was a
life time resident of Whaley Lake and recently Dataw Island, S.C. A graduate of Gorton High
School, Yonkers, N.Y., he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fordham University, Bronx,
N.Y. and his Teachers Certification from SUNY New Paltz. An armed forces veteran, he
obtained the status of Sergeant in the United States Air Force serving from 1965-1969,
Honorably Discharged.
He married his childhood sweetheart, Eileen Queally of Yonkers, N.Y. on June 25, 1966. Later
becoming a Father to five (5) children, fifteen (15) grandchildren and one (1) great-grandchild:
His passions in life were his devotion to his wife Eileen, spending time with his family and
friends, attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events (Football, Baseball, Soccer,
Lacrosse, Softball), playing golf (with his friends, family and the Thursday Knights), traveling,
laughing and making people laugh.

He is survived lovingly by his wife, Eileen, his children Christopher and Jacqui Clowry of Pawling, N.Y., parents of Jake, Noah, Quinn and Devin / Michael and Shannon Luongo of Center Moriches, N.Y., parents of Casey, Thomas, Joseph, Michael and Peter / Patrick and Dena Clowry of Pawling, N.Y., parents of Aidan and Brett / Dan Gostomski and Gina Guidice of Webster, N.Y., parents of Ryun, Dana, Jake and Anthony, great-grandchild Lucca. Survived also by numerous nieces and nephews.

Mike was the life of the party and always enjoyed the company of others. He will be tremendously missed not only by his family and friends, but by the Pawling community.

Memorial visitation will be held at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling Friday, July 31st  from 5-8 PM.  Due to CORONA VIRUS restrictions, masks are required for admittance and everyone must “social distance”.  The  time to pay your respects is limited to accommodate everyone.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at St. John’s Church, 39 East Main Street, Pawling on Saturday, August 1st at 10 AM.
