Ghent, New York – On May 17, 2020, the New York State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested Park G. Stalker III, age 35, of Ghent, for Assault in the 2nd degree, Strangulation in the 2nd degree, both class D felonies, and Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree, a class A misdemeanor.

At approximately 1:25 a.m., Troopers responded to a residence in the town of Ghent for a report of an assault.  Investigation determined Stalker physically assaulted and strangled the victim, who was known to him, while at the Stalker residence.  The victim then fled to a neighbor’s residence to call 911.

The victim was transported to Columbia Memorial Hospital by Chatham Rescue, before being transferred to Albany Medical Center due to the severity of his injuries.

Park Stalker was arraigned before the town of Chatham Court, and released on his own recognizance.  Stalker is next scheduled to appear before the town of Ghent Court on July 6, 2020, at 6:00 p.m.
