Yvonne V. Goldson, of Carmel, NY, formerly of Howard Beach, NY, died peacefully with her husband by her side on April 24, 2020. She was 72 years old.
Born on November 2, 1947 in New York, New York daughter of Ureil (Jones) Adams of Spring Field Gardens, NY and the late Vincent Adams. Yvonne graduated from Jamaica High School in 1965. She received her bachelor’s degree from Morgan State University in 1969 and continued her education at NYU and St John’s University, receiving master’s from both. Yvonne was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority (AKA).
On July 15, 1972 she married the love of her life, Courtney Goldson in Queens, NY. Together they enjoyed many trips all over the world, especially the last few years.
Mrs. Goldson is not only survived by her loving Husband, Courtney and her mother, Ureil but also her sister, Vivien Moore , her niece, Tiana Moore and her nephew Tyler Moore all of Elmont, NY.
A private burial will take place at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, NY. Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY assisted the family with arrangements.
