Deerpark man arrested for Endangering the Welfare of a Child

On 04/16/15 the Orange County Child Abuse Unit. which is comprised of members from the New York State Police, Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Town of Warwick Police and Village of Goshen Police, arrested a 20 year old Town of Deerpark man for the Class A Misdemeanor Charge of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
State Police arrested and charged MATTHEW JONES, 20 years old of Cuddebackville, N.Y. following an investigation of a report made to the New York State Child Abuse Hotline in April 2015. The investigation was conducted in conjunction with the Orange County Department of Social Services – Child Protective Services and revealed that JONES smoked marihuana in the proximity of an infant child. Jones was familiar with the victim.
JONES was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Deerpark Court on Tuesday May 12, 2015 at 6:00pm.
