The crash had a significant impact on afternoon traffic in Largo, as Landover Road and surrounding intersections were closed for much of the day. Drivers were diverted to alternate routes while crews worked to clear debris and tow damaged vehicles from the roadway.

The scene was described as chaotic, with multiple emergency units — including fire, EMS, and police — responding. Witnesses reported seeing vehicles overturned and several victims being treated on-site before being taken to hospitals.

Community Response

Residents and commuters in the area expressed shock at the scale of the accident. The intersection, located near major shopping centers and highways, is typically busy during midday hours. Some residents told local reporters they have long considered the area dangerous due to heavy traffic flow and frequent speeding.
