Bronx man arrested for identity theft

Lagrange, New York – On March 30, 2020, the New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Francisco J. Gonzalez, age 27, of Bronx, NY, for Identity Theft in the 1st degree, Forgery in the 2nd degree, Possession of a Forged Instrument in the 2nd degree, Grand Larceny in the 3rd degree, all class D felonies, and Conspiracy in the 5th degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Investigation found Francisco Gonzalez stole the identity of an out-of-state victim, and then attempted to purchase a vehicle with forged documentation from a dealership in the town of Lagrange.

Gonzalez was arraigned before the town of Lagrange Court, and released on his own recognizance to return on May 5, 2020, at 4:30 p.m.
