Cortlandt, New York – On March 27, 2020, the New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Tiara K. Frederick, age 23, and Giovani R. Fernandez, age 26, both of Mahopac, NY, for Burglary in the 1^st degree, a class B felony, and Criminal Mischief in the 3^rd degree, a class E felony.

Investigation determined Frederick and Fernandez forcibly entered a residence on 13^th Street in the Verplanck area of Cortlandt.  Frederick and Fernandez were familiar with the residents.  A physical altercation ensued between the parties which resulted in Tiara Frederick suffering a non-life-threatening stab wound.  Frederick was transported to Westchester Medical Center medical treatment.

Frederick and Fernandez were issued appearance tickets returnable to the town of Cortlandt Court on May 11, 2020, at 9:00 a.m.
