Obituary, – Douglas Jack Romano

Douglas Jack Romano, age 51, of Salisbury, died Monday, April 13, 2015. Born in Hollister, CA he was the son of Lori Margnelli Romano of Pawling, NY and the late John Romano.

Doug was a 1985 graduate of the Citadel and earned his Masters degree in Education from Salisbury University in 2001. He served as a Captain in the South Carolina National Guard from 1985-1991. Doug taught science for 27 years, educating many of the students on the Eastern Shore, but most recently at Stephen Decatur Middle School. Additionally, Doug inspired and led student athletes in various coaching positions, with a special dedication to wrestling.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Allison Romano; his children, Derek and wife Katie, Jennifer and Rachael Romano ; grandchildren, Kalee and David Romano and his sister, Jackie Romano of Mahwah, NJ.

A memorial service will be held Friday, April 17, 2015 at 8:00 pm at Holloway Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. The ceremony will be officiated by
