A Thanksgiving Message

“Whether we gather for Thanksgiving with loved ones from across town or across the country, this day gives us a welcome opportunity to share time with those who mean the most to us. As we share all we have to feel thankful for, let us never forget there are those struggling to find hope and happiness; they may be as close as our own neighborhood or community – some even around the table may struggle in ways we don’t know or can’t see.
There are so many attributes that make Dutchess County distinct, causing us each to swell with pride. Top among them is our residents’ giving spirit, our unyielding willingness to always lend a helping hand to our neighbors who need assistance. It’s my hope that generosity continues each day that follows Thanksgiving and the ensuing holiday season. A community is often judged by how it treats its people, and Dutchess County’s kindness and benevolence is unparalleled.
