Obituary, Eleonore Helene Kolloge Seehaus

Eleonore Helene Kolloge Seehaus, 92 passed away November 15, 2019, at Hudson Valley Rehab and Extended Care Nursing Home in Highland NY.

Born in Wildeshausen Germany on February 8, 1927, she was the daughter of Heinrich and Katherine (Buhlert) Kolloge and wife of Karl Seehaus. They were married on September 23, 1949, and moved to America in 1957.   Karl predeceased her on July 19, 2013.

A former resident of Woodhaven, Queens, she has been a resident of Pawling since 1961. She worked at various jobs throughout the years, the first being a waitress at Michael’s Quaker Knolls Restaurant in the 60’s. She worked for years at the Village  Pharmacy in Pawling as a cosmetics consultant and she worked at Ditron, Inc for a short while in the 80’s.  She also worked for years at the Chemical/Chase Bank warehouse in Pawling. She taught yoga classes for years in various locations such as   Lucille Roberts Gym in Poughkeepsie NY, Pawling Holiday Hills, and Pawling Town Hall Basement.

She enjoyed playing tennis at Holiday Hills with family and friends. She also had a love of doing crafts, especially making Christmas Angels and giving to many people as gifts.

Eleonore is survived by her son Lothar Seehaus and his wife Joan Curley of Plymouth MA and her daughter Elinor Bosworth and her husband Patrick of Hopewell Junction NY. She is also survived by her grandchildren Karl Seehaus of Sarasota FL, Melissa Stearns of Englewood FL, Marin Curley of Sandwich MA, and Christopher Bosworth and wife Elisabeth of LaGrangeville NY, and her 6 great-grandchildren,   Jacob and Tanner Stearns and Tiernan, Elaine, Arya, and Lyra Bosworth.

There will be no service or memorial as was her wish.
