The Happiest Time of the Year Comes to the Pawling Library

By Susan Stone

The Pawling Library has some pretty wonderful events planned this December.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting with our youngest patrons on December 7th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., so bring your tot and your camera!  Dr. Jeremy Stone will, once again, entertain all with holiday music classics.  Come in and sing along or just enjoy the listen! The Library Director, staff, trustees and volunteers are looking forward to welcoming everyone to this special yearly event.

The Library annual holiday book sale will take place in the Library Annex beginning on Friday, December 6, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.  and will run through Sunday, December 8. The community is invited to stop by after the tree lighting, just down the street, for a little bargain hunting as there are some very special books to browse this holiday season.   Book sale hours on Saturday, December 7th are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Sunday, December 8th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For serious browsers, the library will provide children’s activities in the main library building while moms, dads, and caregivers look for that perfect read or holiday gift.

As always, a little elf help is needed this season with the book sale set up.  Anyone interested in getting a sneak peek at these tantalizing tomes by volunteering may contact Brian Avery, Library Director, at 855-3444.
