Workshop for educators for teaching about climate change

A workshop for educators to share resources and ideas for teaching about climate change will be conducted at the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation’s Five Rivers Environmental Education Center, 56 Game Farm Road, Delmar, NY (Albany County) on Saturday, April 25 from 9:30 a.m. to noon. This workshop will introduce educators to a variety of resources and activities for teaching climate-related concepts in the classroom. Participants will try some hands-on lessons they can use in the classroom and learn about resources from government agencies and non-governmental organizations. Materials will be appropriate for teachers of grades 4-8 and for informal educators, including scout leaders and summer camp instructors.
