Obituary, David Perry DeSilva

 

David Perry DeSilva, 65, a longtime resident of Hopewell Junction, NY, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Mr. DeSilva was a level two supervisor at the Department of Environmental Protection in Katonah, NY for over 20 years.

Born on May 2, 1954, in Ossining, NY, he was the son of the late Adam Perry and Lucy Nancy (Pace) DeSilva. Mr. DeSilva was a member of the Ossining Fire Department, Monitor Hose Company No. 4. He was also a member of the Millerton Gun Club.

Mr. DeSilva is survived by the love of his life, Tina Pellegrini of Hopewell Junction, NY; and his children, Jennifer Ann Desilva of La Luz, NM, Michelle Lee DeSilva of Catskill, NY, Lisa Marie McCalpin and her husband, Anthony of Alamogordo, NM, and Nicholas Anthony DeSilva of Omaha, NE, Thomas Pellegrini and his wife Brittany of Hopewell Junction, NY. He is also survived by a sister, Maryann Johnson and her husband, Robert, of Florida, six grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2019, at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY.
