Austerlitz man arrested for uploading child pornography

Austerlitz, New York – October 17, 2019, the New York State Police from the Kinderhook and Livingston barracks arrested Joseph A. Medina, age 63, of Austerlitz, for Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class D felony.

On the morning of October 17, 2019, a search warrant was executed at a residence on Route 22 in the town of Austerlitz by the State Police.  An investigation with the assistance of the Troop K Computer Crimes Unit found Medina had uploaded child pornography to the internet.

Medina was arraigned before the town of Livingston Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail.  Medina is next scheduled to appear before the Court on October 23, 2019, at 6:00 p.m., before the town of Austerlitz Court.

This investigation remains ongoing.
