Two arrests made after Kinderhook burglary

Kinderhook, New York – On October 16, 2019, the New York State Police from the Kinderhook and Livingston Barracks arrested Brendan Crotty, age 30, and Brittany H. Hevessy, age 30, both of Valatie, NY, for Burglary in the 2nd degree, a class C felony, and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, a class E felony.  Crotty was additionally arrested for Grand Larceny in the 4th degree, a class E felony.

On October 2, 2019, Troopers responded to Hudson Street in the village of Kinderhook for a report of a possible burglary.  An investigation found Hevessy and Crotty illegally entered the victim’s residence and stole several credit cards.  The pair then purchased several items at several Walmart locations with the stolen credit cards in Greenport and Rensselaer County.

Both subjects were arraigned before the town of Greenport Court and remanded without bail to the Columbia County Jail.  They are next scheduled to appear before the Court on October 21, 2019, at 3:30 p.m.
