Kendall Announces the addition of a new e-Recording Partner
Poughkeepsie, New York: Dutchess County Clerk Brad Kendall today announced the addition of Simplifile for electronic recording (e-Recording) of land documents. Simplifile joins CSC as an approved submitter. Documents accepted under e-Recording include deeds, mortgages, assignments of mortgages and discharges of mortgages. eRecording provides title companies and banks with a faster, more efficient, paperless recording option.
Through the secure, web-based program County Clerk staff receive, review, record or reject, and return documents electronically. Filers can track and view the status of their submitted documents as well as correct and resubmit any rejected documents. Recording fees and payments are also processed securely through the portal eliminating check-writing expenses and reducing payment errors.
