State Police arrest Middletown man on sexual assault charges

On October 2, 2019, the New York State Police in Montgomery arrested Noah G. Baker, 19, of Middletown, New York. Baker was charged with Rape 1st degree, a class B felony and Strangulation 2nd degree, a class D felony.

The arrest was the result of a joint investigation conducted by the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the New York State Police Campus Sexual Assault Victims Unit.

It was determined that the sexual assault occurred on the Mount Saint Mary College campus during fall of 2018.

Baker was arraigned in the City of Newburgh and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of bail pending a future court appearance.
