Obituary, Edward David Tesar

Edward David Tesar, 78, an 11-year resident of Wingdale, NY, formerly of Mount Kisco, NY, died on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, at The Grand Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Pawling, NY. Mr. Tesar was an operating engineer with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #137 in Briarcliff Manor, NY.
Born on October 26, 1941, in Peekskill, NY, he was the son of the late Edward and Elsie (Slavec), Tesar. On May 11, 1996, in Bedford Hills, NY, he married Margaret Booth who survives at home. Mr. Tesar proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Stacey Wheeler and her husband, Gunnar, of Dover Plains, NY and Sabrina Pearsall and her companion, Jon Callahan, of Dover Plains and a sister, Teresa Daley of Ghent, NY. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Joseph, Matthew and Zachary Pearsall, and Nicole Camillone and Rachel Wheeler. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sons, Edward David Tesar, Jr. in 1990 and Donald Brian Sterling in 2002.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday, September 30, 2019, at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Kathleen Meyerson officiating.
