CRIMINAL ARREST


On 09/26/2019 at approximately 21:55 hours, Connecticut State Police, Troop A Southbury, responded to the area of Route 37 and Hubbell Mountain Rd in the town of Sherman for a motor vehicle collision that was reported as a roll over. The vehicle was traveling on Route 37 in the area of Hubbell Mountain Rd, in the town of Sherman. The operator, Emma Peterson (DOB: 07/23/1993), lost control of the vehicle and drove off the roadway to the right. The vehicle struck the wire beam guard rail at this location, causing the vehicle to overturn onto its roof in a ditch. This collision damaged approximately 70 FT of State of CT DOT Wire Beam Guard rail. No injuries were reported. Peterson was found at fault for this collision and after an investigation was placed under arrest for violation of C.G.S. 14-227a: Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol and/or drugs and 14-236: Failure to Maintain the Proper Travel Lane. Peterson was released on a $750.00 non-surety bond set by Sgt. Boroski (#111), and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on 10/09/2019 at 0900 hours.
