Pawling Rotary’s Fall Fest Is Just Around the Corner!

On Saturday, September 28th, the Pawling Rotary Club will hold its Fabulous Fall Festival at the Lathrop Center at Lakeside Park from 11:00 to 4:00. This year’s fundraiser will hit all the usual Fall Fest buttons, as the event will focus on Family fun and BBQ fare!

This year’s seasonal celebration will present endless games and activities led by Jessica Dickenson and friends from the Pawling Rec Department. Special offerings will include pony and hay rides, courtesy of Clover Brook Farm; a big red firetruck for exploring, courtesy of Pawling’s Volunteer Fire Department; big trucks for touching from Schmitt Excavating, Titan Concrete and MJD Trucks; a sensational hay maze, courtesy of Eastern Hay and the Pawling Boy Scouts; face painting and other colorful and glittery fun at the Glamor Table; a special children’s book reading and signing by Carol Paterno and Doris Tomaselli of Daffodil Press; pumpkin painting (pumpkins courtesy of Dykman’s farm); plenty of outdoor games with Scott Snow, and a special activity for children with Miss Neena from the Pawling Library; Skittles, the adorable mini pony from Akindale Thoroughbred Rescue; and a couple of pups in training from Blue Path Service Dogs that will charm one and all.

There will also be a Bar-B-Que for those who come hungry and plan to stay awhile. Munching on Kettle Corn and Candy Apples will be encouraged!

This community event is made possible through the tremendous support given to the Pawling Rotary Club by Pawling’s merchants, organizations and volunteers, who have generously responded to Pawling Rotary’s desire to offer free admission to this event so that all will be able to attend.

Proceeds from the Fall Fest will fund organizations in Pawling that support our youngsters. The Festival, a rain-or-shine event, begins at 11:00 a.m. and will end at 4:00 p.m. and the community is encouraged to “come early and stay late,” according to event chair Susan Stone, who added that “one will be hard-pressed to run out of fun things to do!” Raffle winners will be announced at 3:30.
