Obituary, Glen A. Euvrard

Amenia – Glen A. Euvrard, 66, a lifelong area resident died peacefully on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at The Grand at River Valley in Poughkeepsie, NY following a lengthy illness. Glen was a master carpenter by trade and primarily worked for himself throughout his life.

Born June 25, 1953, in Sharon, CT he was the son of the late Walter E. Euvrard and Leah (Martyn) Euvrard who resides in Amenia, NY. Glen was a graduate of Webutuck High School in Amenia and was a talented musician. He enjoyed riding his bike, reading the New York Times and participating in a spirited debate.

In addition to his mother, Glen is survived by five siblings; Wayne Euvrard and his wife Cami of Amenia, Valerie Euvrard of Amenia, Dara Euvrard of Amenia, Jeffrey Euvrard of West Haven and David Euvrard and his wife Nora of Sharon, CT; a nephew, Sean Russell of Millerton, a niece, Renee Wright of Pennsylvania and several cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019, at 3 pm at 37 Park Avenue, Millerton, NY 12546. Rev. Henry Prause will officiate. Burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Sharon, CT at a later date.
