HEALTH AIDE WORKER ARRESTED ON IDENTITY THEFT AND GRAND LARCENY CHARGES 

Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley Jr. reports the arrest of a Health Aide worker on Identity Theft and Grand Larceny felony charges. In June of this year, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department received a Grand Larceny complaint, from an elderly resident of the Plaza at Clover Lake Nursing Home Facility, which is located at 838 Fair Street, in the Town of Patterson. Deputy Vincent Dalo interviewed the complainant who informed Deputy Dalo that she had noticed that her credit cards had been moved and that money was missing from her wallet. The 82-year-old woman subsequently discovered that her credit card had been used to make an unauthorized purchase. Investigator Ryan McMahon was assigned to conduct an investigation into the allegations. Investigator McMahon’s investigation led to the arrest of one of the health aide workers of the facility. On September 8, 2019, Takara Baldwin, age 29, of New Windsor, was placed under arrest, at the Plaza at Clover Lake facility. Ms. Baldwin was transported to the Putnam County Correctional Facility for arrest processing. Ms. Baldwin was arrested processed and charged with Identity Theft in the First Degree (Class D Felony), and Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree (Class E Felony). On September 9, 2019, Ms. Baldwin was arraigned by the Honorable Justice Anthony Mole, of the Town of Patterson Justice Court. Justice Mole remanded Ms. Baldwin to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500.00 Cash-Bail/$5,000.00 Bail-Bond. At a future date and time, Ms. Baldwin is scheduled to appear in the Town of Patterson Justice Court to face her charges.
