Obituary, Silvano Loria

Silvano Loria, aged 69, a resident of Pawling, NY, passed away suddenly September 3, 2019.
Oh, what a lucky man he was –
Silvano lived life with great zest; his love of people and kind heart made him a special person.  As a young man, his adventurous spirit led him down many roads, from volcanos in Hawaii to motorcycle rides in Alaska, with his guitar strapped to his back.  Music was his great passion.  He toured across the United States, Europe, and Canada, and the beautiful beautiful islands surrounding the USA with his wife Nancy and son Derek by his side.  His passion for music led him to write and recording everything from Rock to Country.
He knew how to count his blessings; his son Derek was his pride & joy, and when his granddaughter Melissa came into the world, he announced he “had it all”.
He valued his life-long friends, people in life laughing, making new friends, and his family.  Those were his treasures, that was the way he judged wealth.  Born the middle child in a family of seven, he felt great love for his siblings.
Oh, what a lucky man he was.
He is survived by his wife Nancy, his son Derek, daughter-in-law Rachel, and his granddaughter Melissa.  Also his sister Ines and brothers John, Tony, and Aldo, their wives, and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his father, Benidetto and mother Theresa, his sister Yvonna, and brother Benito.
Family and friends may pay their respects Sunday, September 8th from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY.
