$255,000 in New Grants Awarded by the Field Hall Foundation

$529,000 in Grants Have Been Awarded in 2019

The Field Hall Foundation is proud to announce the grant recipients of its Summer 2019 cycle.  Eight grants, totaling $255,000, will be used to provide respite for seniors and their caregivers, geriatric case management services, transportation and handicap accessibility in Dutchess, Putnam and Westchester Counties.

Five full grants were awarded to:

Catholic Charities Community Services

$50,000 – To provide case management services to vulnerable seniors in Dutchess, Putnam and Westchester Counties

My Second Home

$50,000 – To provide scholarships for adult day care respite to eligible seniors and their caregivers in Northern Westchester

The Wartburg

$50,000 – To provide scholarships for adult day care respite to eligible seniors and their caregivers in Southern Westchester

Westchester Jewish Community Services

$50,000 – To provide geriatric case management services to seniors in need in Westchester County

St. Cabrini Nursing Home

$20,000 – To build an outdoor therapeutic dementia garden for their nursing home residents

The Foundation also awarded three mini-grants to:

Habitat for Humanity of Dutchess County

$15,000 – To provide minor home repairs and modifications for seniors so they can continue to live safely in their homes

RideConnect of Westchester

$15,000 – To expand their free volunteer transportation and bus program for seniors

Putnam County Sheriff’s Department

$5,000 – To support their Project Lifesaver program and reduce the response time in locating missing seniors with dementia

“The Foundation is proud to support these high-quality programs and services for seniors and caregivers, and we look forward to collaborating on new and innovative ways to continue to improve our community,” states John R. Ahearn, the Foundation’s CEO.

The Foundation has awarded a total of $529,000 in grants in 2019.  This includes $274,000 that was awarded in its inaugural cycle in January.  The Foundation accepts Letters of Inquiry on a continual basis and awards grants twice a year.  Information on grant criteria and important dates can be found on the Foundation’s website: http://www.fieldhallfoundation.org.
