It is with deep regret and sadness Superintendent Keith M. Corlett is saddened to announce the Line of Duty Death of Sergeant/Station Commander Jeffrey M. Cicora.

Today, August 10, 2019, Sergeant/SC Cicora passed away from an illness stemming from his assignment at the World Trade Center site following the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001.

Following the events of 9/11, Sergeant/SC Cicora was assigned to New York City to aid in the search and recovery efforts.

Sergeant/SC Cicora entered the State Police on October 12, 1992, and served with the State Police for 24 years.

Sergeant/SC Cicora is from Baldwinsville, NY and is survived by his wife and their son.

Funeral arrangements will follow.
