Obituary, Laurie Marie (Queally) Speight

Laurie Marie (Queally) Speight passed away peacefully on Monday, August 5th, 2019 at Putnam Hospital.

She was born in Yonkers, NY on October 22, 1953, to Dr. Francis Queally and Justine Mulligan Queally. She attended St. Claire’s Academy and was a 1975 graduate of Elizabeth Seton College in her hometown of Yonkers.  In 1977, she gave birth to her only child/son, Evan Christopher.

Laurie formerly lived in Avon, NY with her sweetheart Bill Webb, and worked at Strong Memorial Hospital developing a wonderful career. Years later, she moved to Pawling where she last resided and held administrative office positions at medical facilities. Laurie was loved by many and enjoyed her time with family and chatting with her friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Mary.

Laurie is survived by Evan, his wife Jamie, and two grandchildren, Jameson and Blake, of Tuckahoe, NY, her sister Eileen and husband Michael Clowry of Pawling, her sister Justine and husband Charlie Heyman of South Carolina.  She is also survived by her 3 nephews and 3 nieces and their children.

Families and friends who Laurie touched are invited to the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 E Main St, Pawling, NY 12564 on August 10th, 9AM to reminisce, grieve and of course just chat.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM at St. John’s Church, 39 East Main Street, Pawling.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
