Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley Reports Recent Arrests

In The Town of Southeast

On 07/08/2019 at approximately 1:49 p.m., Deputy Brian Sacher was dispatched to Kohl’s Department Store in the Town of Southeast for a report of a disorderly subject. Upon arrival, Deputy Sacher located the suspect, 28 year old Kasey C. Battaglia, of Newburgh, in the Eveready diner parking lot. A Kohl’s representative advised Deputy Sacher that Battaglia had stolen a purse from the store, but dropped it and ran when the loss prevention alarms sounded. The Kohl’s representative wished to press charges. Battaglia was taken into custody without incident and charged with one count of Petit Larceny. She was released on an appearance ticket ordering her to appear in the Town of Southeast Court on a later date.

On 07/08/2019 at approximately 2:46 p.m., Deputy Bryan Suppa was dispatched to the Home Depot in the Town of Southeast for a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, Deputy Suppa located the suspect, 70 year old, Mark Vujevic of Carmel, in the loss prevention office. A Home Depot representative advised Deputy Suppa that Vujevic had stolen a lawn mower and an air conditioning unit from the store. The Home Depot representative wished to press charges. Vujevic was taken into custody without incident and he was transported to Putnam County Correctional Facility for processing. He was charged with one count of Petit Larceny and was released on an appearance ticket ordering him to appear in the Town of Southeast Court on a later date.

On 07/01/2019 at approximately 1:19 a.m., Deputy Francis McDonough observed a vehicle commit several traffic violations on Route 22 in the Town of Southeast. Deputy McDonough and Deputy Ryan Diskin initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle and identified the driver as 37 year old, Paloma W. Domenico of Danbury. While interviewing Ms. Domenico, Deputy McDonough observed the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from her breath and also observed that Domenico had vomit on herself as well as her vehicle. Pursuant to a subsequent investigation Ms. Domenico was placed under arrest and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit to a Breath Test. She was also issued UTT’s for Speed in Zone and Driving Left of Pavement Markings. Ms. Domenico was arraigned in the Town of Southeast Court where she was released on her own recognizance pending a future court date.
