State Police and Town of Poughkeepsie Police arrest man for rape of a child

PRESS RELEASE
Poughkeepsie, New York- On July 9, 2019, the New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks in conjunction with the Dutchess County Child Advocacy Center, and the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department arrested Justin P. O’Dell, age 25, of Poughkeepsie, for three counts of Criminal Sex Act in the 2nd degree, and one count of Rape in the 2nd degree, all class D felonies.

Investigation revealed O’Dell engaged in sexual contact with a victim, under the age of fifteen-years-old, in the towns of Clinton and Stanford.  O’Dell and the victim were known to one another.

O’Dell was arraigned before the town of Washington Court, and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 secure bond.  O’Dell is next scheduled to appear before the Court on July 15, 2019, at 10:30 a.m.
