Dutchess County Central Labor Council Endorses Joe Ruggiero for County Executive

Dutchess County, NY: Dutchess County’s Central Labor Council endorses Joe Ruggiero for County Executive. The Council represents the thousands of working families throughout Dutchess that rely on their leaders to fight for a better quality of life in Dutchess.

I am honored to have the support of the Central Labor Council,” said Joe Ruggiero. “Our mission is the same. We’re all fighting to give the working families in Dutchess a better quality of life. When we elect our county leadership, we expect them to have our best interests at heart, to provide the resources we need and expect from our government, and to above all listen. I look forward to working with the Central Labor Council to advance the interests of working families.”

The Ruggiero campaign has gained quite a bit of momentum over the last weeks, beginning with the endorsement of State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli kicking off that campaign season. Ruggiero has planned a 22 city tour to continue to work with the families of Dutchess to build up the quality of life for all who live here.

Joe Ruggiero is what Dutchess County needs during these times,” said Roberto Pinto, President of the Central Labor Council. We have carefully followed the positions of elected officials and candidates on issues like the rights of workers to organize, living wages, PLAs, as well as other issues that impact the lives of the people of Dutchess. We believe Joe is the person to take the County Executive office and make it a vehicle for change and a symbol of effective County Government. He has already shown his credentials, and we look forward to working with him when he is County Executive.”
