Obituary, Richard John Miller

 

Richard John Miller passed away on June 16th, 2019 at his home in Naples, FL. He was born on May 3, 1942, in New York City. In 1953, the Miller family moved upstate to Holmes, NY where Richard attended Pawling Central High School and fostered and developed relationships that continued through the years. An avid hunter, he found enjoyment in his friendships and hunting trips; always preparing and sharing his trophy game with everyone he spent time with. After moving to Florida, he started Richard’s Portable Welding Service which grew to attain a stellar reputation for quality and dependability on both the east and west coasts of Florida. He was known for his generous spirit and never afraid to share his faith and relationship with Jesus Christ with whoever would listen. He is survived by his son, Scott Miller and his wife, Lori, his daughter, Carole Mendoza and her husband Ramon, his 3 siblings, (Paul Miller, William Miller, and Susie Bartlett), 4 grandchildren (Shaun Miller, Jenna Miller, Kristen Miller, and Elyse Haile), 1 great-granddaughter, (Maggie), 3 cousins, 8 nieces and nephews, 16 great-nephews and nieces and longtime friend, Sheila Pensinger. A private service for the family will held at Fuller Funeral East Naples. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
