Ghent man arrested for stealing from his employer

Livingston, New York – On June 14, 2019, the New York State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested Raymond W. Lippman, age 33, of Ghent, for Forgery in the 2nd degree, a class D felony, two counts of Grand Larceny in the 4th degree, a class E felony, and Falsifying Business Records, a class A misdemeanor.

On June 11, 2019, Troopers were dispatched to the Hudson Valley Creamery on Route 9 in the town of Livingston for a complaint of possible fraud.  Investigators determined Lippman, stole a company owned credit card, and made several fraudulent charges totaling over $1000 U.S. dollars.

Lippman was arraigned before the Honorable Judge Weaver of the town of Livingston Court, and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1000 secure bond.  Lippman is next scheduled to appear before the Court on June 19, 2019, at 5:00 p.m.
