Paulette Bonk, 72, a resident of Holmes, NY since1972, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at Putnam Hospital Center, Carmel, NY.
Formerly of Millwood, NY, she was born in Williamsport, PA on September 14, 1946, to Paul and Gladys (Davidson) Wertz. She graduated from Chappaqua High School and worked as an accountant assistant for Curtis Instruments in Mt. Kisco, NY. On April 22, 1968, she married Peter M. Bonk in Brewster, NY.
Paulette was a fabulous cook and an avid reader, especially mystery novels by Agatha Christie. She also loved old 40’s romantic movies. Paulette was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Pawling and served as their treasurer.
She is survived by her husband, Peter M. Bonk of Holmes, her brother, Kenneth Wertz of Arizona, her sister, Jeanette Viscomi of Brewster, NY, her nephew, John Bonk of Massachusetts, and three nieces, Laurie Whitfield of Blue Point, NY, Shaune Snyder of Wallkill, NY and Kim Verney of New Paltz, NY.
She is predeceased by her daughter, Michele, who passed away on January 13, 2012.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019, at 11 AM at the Lutheran Church of Christ the King, 14 Pine Drive, Pawling, NY. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
