Obituary, Brice Allison Creelman

Van Alstyne, TX – Brice Allison Creelman, of Van Alstyne, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on May 22, 2019. Brice was born on December 13, 1956 in Poughkeepsie, New York to the late Howard Thompson and Thelma Beulah Creelman. Brice is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Jayne Ellis Creelman; sister, Penny Roscoe of Laurens, South Carolina; brother, Christopher (Lauren) Creelman of Baldwinsville, New York; brothers-in-law Eric (Michele) Ellis of Palm Harbor, Florida and Dean (Patti) Ellis of The Woodlands, Texas; in-laws, Donald and Joyce Russell of Plano, Texas, as well as ten nieces and nephews. In 1975 Brice graduated from Millbrook High School in Millbrook, New York. Upon moving to Dallas in the late 70’s, Brice began his career as a nurseryman. His passion for and knowledge of plants (in particular, native Texas plants) began and developed at North Haven Gardens under the tutelage of his mentor Ralph Pinkus. Subsequently, Brice served as manager of Tawakoni Plant Farm and, most recently, managed growing operations at Shades of Green, Inc. in Frisco. Donations may be made in Brice’s memory to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin, Texas (www.wildflower.org). A celebration of life will take place at a date to be decided by the family.
