Felony AUO & DWI on Lawn Tractor

On Sunday, June 2, 2019, at approximately 5:20 pm a deputy sheriff on patrol on State Route 199 in the Town of Milan observed a subject operating a Husqvarna lawn tractor eastbound on the highway with an open container of an alcoholic beverage.   After stopping the tractor, it was determined that the operator Joseph G. White (53 yoa) of Milan, NY was intoxicated.

A check revealed that his New York State driving privilege was revoked for a prior DWI conviction and he also had two active suspensions.  Additionally, he had an ignition interlock device restriction for any motor vehicle operated.

Joseph White was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 1st a felony, Driving While Intoxicated and Operating without a Court Ordered Ignition Interlock Device both misdemeanors as well as Open Container of Alcohol in Motor Vehicle and Depositing Refuse on a Highway both traffic infractions.

He was released on to appear in the Town of Milan Court on June 29, 2019, at 9:00 am.
