Super Sales & Soirée in Sherman – Memorial Day Weekend!

Women can kick off the weekend at the Sherman library’s spirited, sociable Women’s Soirée on Friday, May 24, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Enjoy wine, champagne, a buffet of sweets and savories, raffles, door prizes, and the company of friends and neighbors. This special event also includes a silent auction and off-the-rack items of new and like-new handbags, scarves and jewelry—all to be sold to benefit the library. This is a not-to-be-missed chance to wine, dine, mingle and shop. Be sure to get a good night’s sleep, though, for the weekend’s TWO HUGE SALES.

The 32nd annual BARN SALE at the Sherman Historical Society. Come early for the awesome bargains, fantastic finds, and wonderful quality items (including estate donations!). Stay (or come back) for lunchtime hot dogs and beverages. The Old Store Gift Shop, which always has wonderful items in stock, will be open as well. The Historical Society is located at 10 Route 37 Center, with convenient parking nearby. HOURS: Sat: 9 am to 3 pm. Sun: 9 am to noon.

Check out the Sherman Library Book Sale. There will be thousands of books, organized for easy browsing, plus rare books, audio books and DVDs. HOURS: Sat: 9 am to 4 pm. Sun: 9 am to noon. PLUS: If you missed their fabulous Friday evening event many items from our Soirée stock will be on sale in front of the library at our Soirée Redux on Saturday, May 26, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. You’ll find an amazing inventory of beautiful jewelry, handbags and scarves. The prices can’t be beat.

All of the monies raised from the above events goes to support these worthy organizations and their many wonderful programs for- and services to- the community. While you hunt for bargains and treasures, you’ll feel good knowing that every penny you spend will, in turn, be well spent.

Join us for Sherman’s Annual Memorial Day Parade on Sunday at 1 pm. The Center will be closed to traffic for the event, so arrive early to find parking and a good viewing spot.
