Fallen Law Enforcement Officers Honored
at Sheriff’s Office Memorial Event

Poughkeepsie… In recognition of National Police Week (May 12-18), Dutchess County Executive Marcus J. Molinaro today joined Dutchess County Sheriff Adrian “Butch” Anderson and members of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, state and local law enforcement and corrections division, as well as several state, county and local officials and community members to honor and remember the sacrifices of our fallen law enforcement officers and former members who have passed away at the Sheriff’s annual Memorial Ceremony at the Dutchess County Law Enforcement Center in Poughkeepsie.

County Executive Molinaro said, “Law Enforcement Officers are vital in keeping the nearly 300,000 people who call Dutchess County home safe, day and night. They run toward an emergency; selflessly putting themselves between their neighbors and danger. I am proud to recognize the men and women of law enforcement for their dedication and bravery this week and every day. We are grateful to past and present police officers for their service, we pray for their safety, and we honor the memory of those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.”
