Bedford, New York – On May 8, 2019, the New York State Police from the Somers barracks and the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Office of Special Investigations conducted a joint investigation into the death of an inmate at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility located at 247 Harris Road in the town of Bedford.
The Initial investigation revealed that the inmate, Melanie T. Liverpool, aged 33 years, was the victim of an apparent suicide. This investigation remains on-going.
