State Police and City of Poughkeepsie Police arrest heroin dealer in Poughkeepsie

Poughkeepsie, New York – On May 1, 2019, the New York State Police Troop K Violent Gang Neighborhood Enforcement Team (VGNET) and the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department arrested Saiquan J. Deslandes, age 24, of Poughkeepsie, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree with intent to sell, a class B felony.
An investigation by VGNET Investigators and the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department revealed Deslandes was dealing heroin in the Poughkeepsie area. When located Deslandes was in possession of twenty decks of heroin.
Deslandes was arraigned before the town of Wappinger Court, and remanded by the Honorable Judge Kitchen to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 secure bond. Deslandes was next scheduled to appear before the City of Poughkeepsie Court on May 3, 2019, at 9:00 a.m.
