DCC Foundation Golf Tournament Set for May 20

May 3, 2019 – Registration is in full swing for the Dutchess Community College Foundation’s 30th Annual Golf Tournament and Dinner set for May 20 at The Links at Union Vale. The event is held annually in memory of Jack Orcutt, who was DCC’s first director of student activities and a founding member of the College staff. Funds raised will go toward educational initiatives at DCC.

The scramble-format tournament will feature a barbecue lunch, cocktail reception, awards dinner, prizes and a raffle drawing for golf foursomes, gift cards and more. Additionally, tickets to a New York Yankees game courtesy of Royal Carting and a spa day at Buttermilk Falls Inn & Spa and dinner for two at Henry’s Restaurant will be auctioned.

Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. with lunch at 11:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The cocktail reception is at 5 p.m., with dinner, awards and the raffle beginning at 6 p.m. Cost is $175 per person.

The mission of the Dutchess Community College Foundation is to raise funds to provide scholarships and support college initiatives that will have a significant and direct impact on the students, faculty and staff of Dutchess Community College. The DCC Foundation awards approximately $450,000 in scholarships to more than 250 DCC students annually and an additional $350,000 for student technology, educational programs, campus and facility improvements and other important educational initiatives.
